Herminia Guevara

Herminia Guevara, a gentle beautiful soul, was born on August 8, 1945, in San Carlos, Tamaulipas, Mexico. 

She peacefully passed to her eternal rest on Sunday, May 5, 2024, in Brownsville, TX.
 
 In her lifetime, Herminia touched the lives of many with her kindness and grace. She will always be remembered for her warm heart and caring nature that extended to all those around her.
 
 Herminia is preceded in death by two children, Daniel Guevara† and Sandra Guevara†, her parents Daniel† and Guadalupe Ramirez†, and her brother Daniel Velasquez†.
 
 She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Jesus Guevara; four sons: Juan Carlos (Alma) Guevara, Jesus (Mary) Guevara, Ruben (Griselda) Guevara, Eduardo (Karla) Guevara; one daughter, Maribel (Jake) Bousma; seventeen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters; as well as extended relatives and friends.

Visitation in her honor will take place on Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home-Old Port Isabel Rd. 

Visitation resumes on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home.

 Funeral mass at 1:00 p.m. will be held at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 606 W. Ocean Blvd., Los Fresnos, TX.

Burial to take place at Los Cuates Cemetery, Los Fresnos, TX.
