Heriberta Tovar

Brownsville, TX- Heriberta Tovar 88, born in Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, on March 16, 1937, died on August 6, 2025 at her residence in Brownsville, Texas.

Bertha was a loving and devoted wife to Manuel, her husband of 65 years, and a mother to Manuel Jr., Isabel, Oscar, Nora, Carlos, Anabel, Juan, Elizabeth and Erika. She was also a wonderful sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law and friend to many. She will be dearly missed by all.

Bertha was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on July 16, 1988 and held close the hope of an earthy resurrection in God's new world to come where we will welcome her with great rejoicing. In the words of Jeremiah 31:13 we long for the time when God will change our "mourning into exultation". He will comfort us and give us joy, replacing our grief.

Arrangements for cremation will be handled by Treviño Funeral Home. There will be a memorial service on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 4 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 1946 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, Texas, 78521-2720.
