Gumercindo Guerrero, 90, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was a devoted member of Alpha y Omega in Brownsville, Tx. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion, Brownsville, Tx. John Hanson Post 43. He retired from Eagle International. He previously worked at City of Brownsville and Alamo Freight.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Aurora Ramirez Guerrero. Children: Gumercindo Guerrero Jr. Tillie , Elias Hilda Guerrero, both of Kingsville Tx., Noe Cristina Guerrero McAllen, Moises Isabel Guerrero , Carla G. Frank Layton, Tina G. Dickens, Eva G. Pena Canyon Lake, Mary M. Guerrero, Alberto Paulita Guerrero, Eli Gumercindo Hildegard Guerrero Germany Sister: Florencia Cadena Corpus Christi numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gumercindo Guerrero Jr., Elias Guerrero, Noe Guerrero, Moises Guerrero, Jay and Joshua Guerrero. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alberto Guerrero and Eli G. Guerrero.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 13, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m Prayer Service at Trevino Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Templo Alpha y Omega, 2025 S.Minnesota Rd. Interment will follow to Buena Vista Burial Park on Saturday, July 14, 2012.
