BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Guadalupe Gutierrez, born on August 02, 1938, died on Tuesday, February 05, 2019 at the age of eighty years old surrounded by family.
Guadalupe was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend who will always be remembered as a well-respected woman who was selfless and giving to those in need. Aside from her beautiful green eyes which glazed and glistened, she too had a heart of gold which loved unconditionally. A faithful lady, Guadalupe was a devout Catholic who attended mass at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Her husband, Alfonso Gutierrez, Sr.; son, Rogelio "Roy" Gutierrez; grandson, Santos Ortega; brother, Manuel T. Perez; and sister, Marcela Gomez; and parents, Felix and Berta Perez, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children Alfonso Gutierrez, Jr. (Norma), Donaciano Gutierrez (Cecilia), Efrain Gutierrez (Diana), Joaquin Gutierrez (Angelita), Angie Guerrero (Basilio), Sulema Granado (Lupe), Nora Gutierrez (Nailea), and Rita Menchaca (Leo), who cared for mother day and night; brothers Felix Perez, Jr., (Yolanda), Mamerto Perez (Sue), Alfredo Perez (Janie), and Ruben Perez (Irlanda); and sisters Maria Gonzalez (Juan), Adelina Moran (Lorenzo), and Susana Ruiz (Lupe). Also surviving her are twenty-five grandchildren with one on the way, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, as well as her two canine companions Taco and Gé�ero.
Visiting hours are on Thursday, February 07, 2019, beginning at one o'clock in the afternoon and concluding at nine o'clock at night, with a recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o'clock Thursday evening within the Trevino Funeral Home North Chapel.
Funeral services will commence on Friday, February 08, 2019 at ten o'clock in the morning, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, located at 2645 Tulipan Street, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park, 125 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville, Texas 78520.
Honored to serve as her pallbearers will be Alfonso Gutierrez III, Donaciano Gutierrez, Jr., Efrain Gutierrez, Jr., Thomas Carlos Guerrero, Justin Granado, Esteban Guerrero, Jimmy Lee Gutierrez, and Kristian Menchaca.
