Guadalupe S. Casanova Sr., 76, entered into eternal glory on Saturday, November 17, 2012 in Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville.
Mr. Casanova was a faithful committed employee at the Port of Brownsville for over 30years as a general contractor for a demolition crew. Mr. Casanova proudly helped demolish the U.S.S. Iwo Jima.
He is survived by his loving wife, Yolanda P. Casanova four children Rodolfo Narda, Yolanda Jesus, Cecilia, and Guadalupe Jr., three grandchildren Jose Juan, Jose Rodolfo Jr., and Jessica Marlene and numerous brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 9 a.m., to 9 p.m., with a Holy Rosary at 7 p.m., in the South Chapel of Trevio Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Good Council, 1055 Military Highway, Brownsville.
Proudly serving as Mr. Casanovas pallbearers are Brownsville Police Officers Hugo D. Valdez, Victor Rea, Carlos Reyes, Jesus Ibarra, Juan Gaytan, and Armando Chavez.
