Gilberto Cerda, Jr.

Gilberto A. Cerda Jr., 69, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 27, 2019.

He is preceded in death by his parents Gilberto and Juanita Cerda; his brothers Jose "Joey" Arriaga and Mateo Salas; and his sister Guadalupe Arriaga Ortiz.

Gilberto is survived by his children; Richard Cerda, Norma Cerda and Connie Cerda . Also, to treasure many memories are his siblings; Valentin "Wale" Arriaga, Dora "Petra" Garcia, Dolores Schrock, Esperanza Garza, Esther Castañeda; along with his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, with Military Honors presented by Veterans of Foreign War Port #2035 at 6 p.m. and a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of Trevino Funeral Home. Services will conclude in the evening of Wednesday, January 30, 2019. A private graveside will be held at a later date.

Serving as Gilberto's Pallbearers are; Michael Barron, Dominic Barron, Eric Arriaga, Tony Arriaga, Juan de Dios Garcia, Rafael Cazares; Honorary Pallbearers are, Valentin Arriaga, Manuel Garza, Joe Castañeda and Jaime Saldaña.
