Genaro Benavides Garcia entered into eternal rest on January 28, 2021 at the age of seventy-eight years old. He will be greatly missed.
He was born on October 19, 1942 to Mauro Garcia Villafranca and Mariana Benavides Castillo in Mexico. He was a resident of Los Fresnos, Texas where he was an active member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church. He was self-employed and a successful business in his own right. He enjoyed a good bargain and mingling with customers.
Genaro is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife Amelia C. Garcia and is survived by his son; Genaro Garcia Jr. and his wife Norma; and daughter Amelia G. Aragus. Also, to treasure many memories is grandsons Genaro Garcia III and his wife Donna M., Maurizio I. Aragus; granddaughter Analisa F. Garcia; numerous brothers, sisters and extended family members.
Visitation from 12 noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 4th, 2021 in the North Chapel with a Holy Rosary 7 p.m.
Visitation resumes 8:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, February 5th, 2021 in the North Chapel with a funeral mass scheduled at 2 p.m. in Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral Catholic Church.
Burial at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Nacio en Octubre 19,1942 en Mexico y sus padres fueron Mauro Garcia Villafranca y Mariana Benavides Castillo. Era residente de Los Fresnos, Texas donde era un miembro de Iglesia Catolica de St. Cecilia. Disfrutaba de un buen trato negocial y mezclarse con clientes.
Genaro es precedido en su muerte por su padres; su esposa, Amelia C. Garcia y su familia sobrevivente para mantener sus recuerdos en vida es su hijo Genaro Garcia Jr. y su esposa Norma; su hija Amelia G. Aragus. Tambien para comparte memorias sus nietos; Genaro Garcia III y su esposa Donna M., Maurizio I. Aragus; nieta Analisa F. Garcia; y numerosos hermanos, hermanas y familia extendida.
Visitación es de 12 medio dia ha 8 p.m. el jueves, 4 de febrero de 2021 con un Santo Rosario a las 7 p.m. en la Funeraria Trevino. Visitación continuará a las 8:15 a.m. ha la 1 p.m. el Viernes, 5 de febrero de 2021 con una misa programada a las 2 p.m. en la Iglesia Catolica en Inmaculada.
Sepultura sera en el panteon Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
