Freda Lou Bredemeyer, 82, of Port Isabel, Texas, entered into eternal rest on March 4, 2021. She lived her Christian faith through a strong devotion to the church, to her family and to all those who she met.
Freda was born in Wingate, Texas. She was involved in the Church all of her life as pianist, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school, cooking meals and snacks, and had a special affinity for working with children. She was very active in all functions at her home church, Fishers of Men Lutheran Church in Port Isabel, TX. While she held many roles through life, she was best known for her baking. She loved music, gardening, sewing, needlepoint and was happiest when giving to others.
Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence Bredemeyer, and her parents, Alma and John Milton Jackson.
Survivors include her children, Kerry (Bess Ann) Bredemeyer of Port Isabel, Texas, Terry (Tracy) Bredemeyer of Mart, Texas, and Sheri (Phil) Hedlund of Austin, Texas. Her Brothers, Walton (Barbara Camarillo) Jackson of Rancho Mirage California, John (Carol) Jackson of Gallipolis Ohio, Alvis (Donna) Jackson of Abilene, Texas, and Calvin (Ginny) Jackson of Wingate, Texas: 8 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
Freda will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later time when safe to do so.
