Frank H. Puglisi, 83, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, in Brownsville, Texas.
Frank is survived by his beloved Wife Elaine, Sons Michael, Daniel and Louis, and was predeceased by his loving Daughter Mary. Frank is also survived by his Sister Angie Davis, DaughterInLaws Catherine, Lynn and Colette, Grand Daughters Jennifer, Katie, Laura, Mary, Julia and Mary Catherine, Grandson Chase and six Great Grand Children as well as many Nieces and Nephews.
Frank moved to Brownsville from New Orleans, LA in 1991 and was the CFO of Amfels, Inc
for many years before retiring in 2003. Frank lived a storied life of personal accomplishment and achievement that commenced with a High School athletic career at Jesuit High School in Tampa FL that earned him election into their Hall Of Fame service for his Country in the US Navy as a Seaman First Class in their elite Submarine Group a Bachelors Degree in Business and a long, successful and varied business career in the top financial positions for a broad group of companies in a diverse field of industries from shipbuilding, real estate, and trucking to construction, oil gas and thoroughbred horse breeding and racing. Frank also formed and ran his own successful construction company for many years in the 1970s, Reliable Builders, in Ocala, FL which was highlighted by providing all of the housing for a newly developed town called Sliver Springs Shores. Even in his retirement Frank returned to construction where he built homes in Brownsville under the FM Builders banner.
Throughout his life Frank was guided by his strong faith in God and devotion to public service which encompassed service to his Churches in various capacities, numerous charitable works both formally and informally, various volunteer positions in charitable, community, public and private organizations as well as service and support for the various school boards and athletic organizations for his family.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday October 29, 2010 with the recitation of the holy rosary at Trevino Funeral Home. Mass of resurrection will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday October 30, 2010 at St. Lukes Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Cemetery in New Orleans, Louisiana at a later date.
