BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Felix "Panch/Pancho" Lara, Jr., born on January 4, 1938, died on Tuesday, February 06, 2018 at his residence in Brownsville, Texas. He was eighty years old.
Felix is a proud veteran of the United States Army. He loved his wife Maria del Socorro very much as well as his children. He will be missed greatly.
His parents, Felix, Sr. and Amelia Lara; son, Felix Lara III; brothers, Fredrico Lara and Luis Lara; and sister, Eliberta Lara, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his loving wife, Maria del Socorro Lara; sons, Eduardo Lara and Gerardo Lara; daughters Maria del Socorro, Margarita Lara Fasci, and Belinda Lara Stephens; brothers, Anastacio Lara and Emilio Lara; his sister, Amelia Lara; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving him are numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visiting hours are on Thursday, February 08, 2018, beginning at twelve o'clock in the afternoon and concluding at nine o'clock at night, with a recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o'clock Thursday evening within the Trevino Funeral Home North Chapel.
Funeral services will commence on Friday, February 09, 2018 at two o'clock in the afternoon, in Christ the King Catholic Church, located at 2255 Southmost Boulevard, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Committal services and full military honors will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, Texas 78526.
