Evila Davila Garza "Billie" passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 26, 2017.
She was born on June 4, 1932 in Norias, Texas to Mr. Salvador Davila & Odayla Flores Davila.
She is preceded in death by her Daughter Irma Berglund; her brothers Roberto Davila and Salvador Davila; and her sister Teresa Shull.
Mrs. Garza is survived by her Loving husband of 64 years Arturo Garza; her son Juan Arturo Garza; her daughter Sandra (Indalecio) Perez; her sisters Delia Biesemann and Diana Green; her 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Garza was very well known in the community as "Billie". She loved to play at the bingo halls and one thing she loved to do the most was watch her favorite baseball team the "Houston Astros".
Family and friends will miss her greatly and many will miss visiting her and always being offered some food. She loved to cook.
The Garza family would like to give a special thanks to Merida Hospice Care for all their attention they provided to Mrs. Garza; Dr. Sundeep Reddy & his staff and they would also like to thank her hospice nurse Miguel Ruiz.
Visitation for Mrs. Garza is scheduled today, Friday, January 27, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home- Old Port Isabel. Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church. Entombment to follow after at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Brownsville.
Funeral Services have been entrusted to Trevino Funeral Home- Old Port Isabel of Brownsville.
