Evangelina Cisneros Martinez

Evangelina Cisneros Martinez, a kind, welcoming, caring, and loving soul, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, in Brownsville, TX. at the age of eighty years old. She was born on September 13, 1943, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, to her loving parents, Cristobal Cisneros† and Margarita Hinojosa†. 

Evangelina Cisneros Martinez is preceded in death by her beloved parents: Cristobal Cisneros† and Margarita Hinojosa† and her siblings: Noe Cisneros†, Irma Cisneros†, Juanita Ramirez† and Elisa Castro†. She is also preceded by her two beautiful children: Ramiro (Araceli) Martinez Jr.† and Leticia Martinez†.

 Evangelina Cisneros Martinez is survived by her loving husband, Ramiro Martinez and two loving children, Oscar (Sonia) Martinez and Belinda Martinez. Evangelina’s memory lives on as well through three grandchildren, Mariel Maldonado, Ashley Nicole Perez and Catherine Alexandra Martinez. Evangelina's legacy of love and strength will continue through them as they navigate this time of need. 

A visitation in her honor will take place on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home-Old Port Isabel Rd. in Brownsville, TX. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visitation resumes on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, from 8:15 AM to 2:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home with a Chapel Service, Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Rite of committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park at 3:00 PM. 

Evangelina's gentle nature and warm spirit touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
