Evangelina Gonzalez

Evangelina Gonzalez entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 8, 2021 in Brownsville, Texas, at the age of seventy years old.

Evangelina was born in 1950 to Romulo and Carmen Longoria in Mexico. She was a resident of Brownsville for most of her life. She retired from many years of service as a daycare caregiver, which she enjoyed very much. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Camilo Gonzalez; her two sisters, Carmen Garza, Eloisa Longoria; her two brothers, Juan Diego Longoria, Jose Longoria and is survived by her loving children Mara Gonzalez de Ortega and her husband Conrad, Ismael Gonzalez and Camilo Gonzalez Jr. Also, to treasure many memories are her six grandchildren: Iselle Gonzalez, Milo Gonzalez, Sofia Gonzalez, Ismael Gonzalez Jr., Eli Gonzalez, Dylan Ortega; her siblings: Lilia Navarro and her husband David, Dora Meynard and her husband Napolion, Ricardo Longoria, Juan Longoria and his wife Carmen, Eloisa Garcia and her husband Gilberto, Romulo Longoria Jr. and his wife Glendora, Marco Longoria and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2021 with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Treviño Funeral Home. Visitation resumes from 8:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. on Friday, February 12, 2021 with a graveside scheduled 12:30 at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
