Eva Cantu

Eva S. Cantu, 77, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX.

Mrs. Cantu was born December 24, 1938 to Manuel and Nieves Sheldon in Brownsville, Texas.

Mrs. Cantu is preceded in death by her husband Manuel Vallejo Cantu; her parents; her sisters: Mary Ramirez, Janie Mortenson, Elizabeth Sellers and Rita D. Cantu.

Mrs. Cantu is survived by her son Reynaldo (Judy) Cantu; her daughters; Mary Lou Carmona (Guillermo) and Yvette Marie Cantu (Rudy) Cornejo; her brothers; Manuel, Mike, Jeronimo (Jerry), Freddy, Edward Sheldon; her sisters; Yolanda Galvan, Rosie Sotelo, Paula San Miguel, Frances Sauceda and Pat Rivas; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, June 29, 2016 12 noon to 8 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. in the South Chapel of Trevino Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 30, 2016, 10 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
