Esther Leal

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Esther C. Leal, born on February 28, 1936, died on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the age of eighty-two years old surrounded by family at her residence.

Esther was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A devout Catholic, she attended the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and Altar Society.

Her only son, Manuel C. Leal; parents, Jose and Maria Charles; brother, Alberto Charles and his wife, Celsa Charles; and sister, Ernestina Becerril and her husband, Ramon Becerril, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her two daughters, Belinda Elizardi (Joe) and Nora Camargo (Robert); brother, Noe Charles; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Leal; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours are on Thursday, February 21, 2019, beginning at twelve o'clock in the afternoon and concluding at nine o'clock at night, with a recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o'clock Thursday evening within the Trevino Funeral Home North Chapel.

Funeral services will commence on Friday, February 22, 2018 at ten o'clock in the morning, at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 1200 Lincoln Street, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville, Texas 78521.

Honored to serve as her pallbearers will be Joe Elizardi, Roberto Camargo, Ruben Atkinson, Joey Elizardi, Anthony Elizardi, Ray Becerril, Matthew John, Raul Cazares, and Rey Pena.
