Esperanza Gonzalez

Esperanza Gonzalez, a loving daughter, mother, sister and friend, passed away on April 1, 2026, in Brownsville, Texas. Born on November 29, 1948, in Mexico, Esperanza had a strong and loving character. She found joy in simple pleasures, like cooking and caring for her grandchildren. Esperanza was an active and engaged grandmother who helped raise them. She also enjoyed shopping and thrifting.

Esperanza is survived by her three children: Luis Gonzalez (Elva Lopez), Miguel Gonzalez (Araceli Guzman) and Norma Castillo (Franklin Anturez). Her legacy also continues through her three cherished grandchildren: Isla Gonzalez, Kaitlyn Gonzalez, and Adriel Castillo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luis Luna and Francisca Enriquez, as well as her siblings, Santiago Luna, Jesus Luna, and Flavio Luna.

Visitation will be held at Trevino Funeral Home, located at 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78521. The visitation begins on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary scheduled at 7:00 p.m. The next day, Saturday, April 4, 2026, visitation will resume from 8:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with a chapel service from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The funeral procession will then move to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens at 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78526, where the burial will take place at 11:00 a.m.

May Esperanza rest in eternal peace, remembered for her strength, her loving nature, and the family she held close to her heart. Her memory will live on with those who loved her and those whose lives she touched.

Esperanza González, una hija, madre, hermana y amiga cariñosa, falleció el 1 de abril de 2026 en Brownsville, Texas. Nacida el 29 de noviembre de 1948 en México, Esperanza tenía un carácter fuerte y cariñoso. Encontraba alegría en placeres sencillos, como cocinar y cuidar de sus nietos. Esperanza fue una abuela activa y comprometida que ayudó a criarlos. También disfrutaba de las compras y las compras de segunda mano.

Esperanza deja en vida a sus tres hijos: Luis González (Elva López), Miguel González (Araceli Guzmán) y Norma Castillo (Franklín Antínez). Su legado también continúa a través de sus tres queridos nietos: Isla González, Kaitlyn González y Adriel Castillo.

La precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Luis Luna y Francisca Enríquez, así como sus hermanos, Santiago Luna, Jesús Luna y Flavio Luna.

La visita se celebrará en la funeraria Treviño, situada en 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78521. La visita comienza el viernes 3 de abril de 2026, de 14:00 a 21:00, con un Rosario programado para las 19:00. Al día siguiente, sábado 4 de abril de 2026, la visita se reanudará de 8:15 a 10:30 a.m., con un servicio en la capilla de 10:00 a.m. a 10:30 a.m. La procesión fúnebre se trasladará entonces a Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens en 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78526, donde el entierro tendrá lugar a las 11:00 a.m.
