Emma Deanda, peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 23rd, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was seventy-three years old.
Emma was born on July 8, 1948 in Brownsville, Texas. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Emma was preceded in death by her mother Guadalupe Deanda; her cousin Manuel Deanda and is survived by her loving daughter; Dorothy Roussett Martinez and son-in-law Ramon Martinez and Emma’s children she raised; Delia Beatriz Deanda and her husband Jose Luis Rodriguez, Margarita Buitron, Veronica Deanda, Javier Deanda, Albert Buitron, Felipa Deanda, Martin Deanda, Rosa Buitron, Michael Deanda, Rodolfo Deanda, Norma Diaz and Moises Deanda. Also, to treasure many memories are her siblings; Cristina Aguilera, Minerva Quintana, Juan Hector Deanda and Efrain Deanda; Emma’s grandchildren; Ramon Joaquin Martinez, Alyssa Anaís Martinez, Marisa V. McKinney, Victoria Eileen Villarreal, Arthur Eugene Brock, Uriah Brock Angela Aimee Lopez, Evelyn Velador; Emma’s great-grandchildren, Isabella Marie McKinney, Charlotte Mae McKinney and extended family members.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021 with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass is scheduled at 12 noon on Friday, October 1st, 2021 at The Holy Family Catholic Church located at 2405 E. Tyler Street in Brownsville, Texas. Services will conclude; to respect her wishes, cremation will follow.
