Eduardo Ed Felix Saldana, 49, entered into eternal life on January 30, 2012.

Eduardo Felix Saldana, the family bid their final farewell to their beloved brother and uncle, Eduardo, a retired twenty year veteran of the Brownsville Police Department. Eduardo also served one tour in the United States Navy. Eduardo was a descendant of one of the pioneer families of Brownsville.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ernesto and Concha Saldana.

He is survived by his brother Ernesto Saldana III of Austin, Texas, his sister Pilar Saldana of Abilene, Texas, his sister Laura Saldana of Brownsville, Texas, an aunt, Nieves Torres of Albuquerque, New Mexico, seven nieces and nephews, and four greatnieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 12 noon to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Trevino Funeral Home. Memorial funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at St. Lukes Catholic Church. Interment of cremated remains will follow at the Old City of Brownsville Cemetery with ceremonial service conducted by the Brownsville Police Department Honor Guard.
