Cruz M. Rodriguez

Cruz M. Rodriguez passed peacefully to her eternal rest on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Sunshine Haven, Inc., in Olmito, Tx., at the age of ninety years old.  

Cruz was born September 14, 1933, in H. Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico to her loving parents, Matilde Martinez†, and Aurora Gutierrez†.  

Cruz is preceded in death by her parents; Matilde Martinez†, and Aurora Gutierrez†, husband, Jose Adan Rodriguez†, son, Fernando Rodriguez†, brother, Andres Martinez†, sisters, Guadalupe Sosa†, Eusebia Rodriguez†, and Antonia Cervantes†.

Cruz was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She will be profoundly remembered for the happiness and love she spread to others and leaves behind great memories with family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Domingo Garcia, Mary Elizabeth (Brad) Simpson, Araceli (Ben) Sandoval, and Jose Adan Rodriguez, Jr., eleven grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren, two sisters, Francisca Ramirez, and Esperanza Martinez as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  

Public visitation in her honor will take place at Treviño Funeral Home-Old Port Isabel Rd. of Brownsville, Texas on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the North Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home.

Visitation resumes Friday, November 10, 2023, at 8:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. with graveside services to take place at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens at 10:00 a.m., 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, Tx.
