Christopher Jonathan Higginbotham, born on January 12, 1984, in Brownsville, Texas, entered eternal peace on November 13, 2024, in Brownsville, Texas. He is remembered as a devoted family man and a proud member of his community.

Christopher was known for his vibrant personality. He was funny and loud, yet humble and talented, always managing to light up any room he walked into. He was a huge Green Bay Packers fan, cheering them on whenever he could. His interests included fishing and hosting barbecues, where he enjoyed the company of friends and family, often accompanied by a drink and a hearty laugh. He was an avid pool player and a skilled tattoo artist, proudly sharing his passion as a member of Dark Side of The Moon Tattoos.

Christopher is survived by his loving wife, Melody Ariel Tijerina, who stood by his side through all of life's challenges and joys. He had three beautiful daughters: Perla Higginbotham, Ruby Higginbotham, and Maya Munoz, as well as a son on the way, Christopher Jonathan Higginbotham Jr. He was a source of strength and guidance for them all, instilling values of love and perseverance.

He is survived by his father, Louis C. (MariaLuisa) Higginbotham. Christopher's siblings also hold him dear; he leaves behind his brother: David Torres, his sister: Janice Higginbotham, his maternal grandparents: Avelino Alfaro and Elida P. Alfaro, along with his aunts: Carey Jo (Miguel) Alfaro Luna, Leticia Yolanda Alfaro, his uncle: James Mark (Liliana) Higginbotham and cousins: Mario Benavidez, James M. Higginbotham Jr., Eddie Salinas, Joshua Salinas, VJ Colunga, Ashley Colunga, Ashton Colunga, Vanessa Alfaro and Seth Sweatt. In addition, many relatives and friends found joy in Christopher’s presence and will cherish their memories of him.

He was preceded in death by his beautiful mother, Perla Veronica Higginbotham, and his paternal grandparents, Randall E. and Maria A. Higginbotham.

Visitation will be held on November 20, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by a prayer service at 1:00 PM, at Trevino Funeral Home located at 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78521. A memorial service will take place the following week on November 26, 2024, beginning at 8:00 AM, with burial following at 10:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 1024 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521.
