Charles was known for his witty sense of humor, intelligence, and being a family man. A true jack of all trades, he could turn his hand to many tasks, impressing everyone with his versatility. Charles had a passion for singing and playing guitar, which he enjoyed while spending time outdoors with his loved ones. His adventurous spirit often led him to the vibrant lights and excitement of Las Vegas, where he cherished wonderful moments with family and friends. Charles's legacy will live on in the memories of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Charles is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Maria Concepcion "Conchita" Harrison, and their four children: Arlene (Jerry) Ready, Charlie Harrison Jr., Rita (Daniel) Torres, and Liza (Victor) Hugas. He will be remembered fondly by his five grandchildren, Ashley Charles (Luis), Rianna Torres, Josiah Torres, Jared Ready, and Madeline Hugas, as well as his two great-grandchildren, Harrison Odilon Charles and Arya Charles. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Margaret Groomer and many loving nieces and nephews.
A visitation to honor Charles will be held at Trevino Funeral Home, located at 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78521, on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. His family invites all who knew him to celebrate his life and the joy he brought to others.
