Celia Yzaguirre

Mrs. Celia Yzaguirre passed away on February 4, 2024, at the age of ninety-three years old. She was born on April 4, 1930, in Brownsville, Texas.

Celia will be remembered for her loving soul, and caring nature, most importantly the enormous love she had for her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace.

Celia is reunited with her loving husband, Antonio Yzaguirre, Sr.†, daughter, Gloria Yzaguirre†, Grandson, Adam Garza†, parents, Toribio Cantu† and Emilia Flores†, and brother, George Cantu†. 

Left behind to cherish memories are her loving children, Patricia Y. Buck, Gracie Y. Solis, Tony Yzaguirre, Jr., Isabel Y. Avelar, Leticia Y. Jordan, George Yzaguirre, Naomi Y. Woolsey, and Yvonne Yzaguirre, twenty-one grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren, her loving brother, Gonzalo Cantu,  as well as numerous family and friends. 

Public visitation in her honor will take place at Trevino Funeral Home-Old Port Isabel Rd., 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, Texas, Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m.

Visitation resumes Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Trevino Funeral Home at 8:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a chapel service at 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. with service of committal to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, Texas at 3:00 p.m.
