Casimira G. Sierra

Casimira G. Sierra, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in Brownsville, Texas, on February 4, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on March 4, 1936, in Tamos, Veracruz, Casimira dedicated her life to nurturing her family and sharing her warmth with all who knew her.

Her calm and gentle nature made her a cherished presence, known for her caring and loving demeanor. Casimira's quiet strength and patience were evident in everything she did, whether tending to her garden, knitting beautiful creations, watching novelas, or reading the bible. Her nonjudgmental spirit and unintimidating personality left a profound impact on her loved ones, making them feel valued and understood.

Casimira is survived by her loving children: Maria del Rosario Cerda (Roberto), Elsa Torres (Raul), Rosa Maria Rodriguez (Robert), Rogerio Sierra (Maricela), Jose Antonio Sierra, and Armando Sierra (Yolanda). She was a proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, all who will carry forward her legacy of love.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Geromino Reyna Sierra, with whom she shared 54 wonderful years of marriage.

Visitation services for the public will take place on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home located at 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78521. Visitation will continue Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 8:15 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with a chapel service from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. to honor her memory. Burial will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park at 1:00 p.m., at 1024 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521.
