Carmen C. Gonzalez passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024, in Brownsville, Texas. Born on March 2, 1936, in Piedras Negras Coahuila, Mexico, Carmen lived a life characterized by hard work, kindness, and selflessness, always ready to lend a helping hand to those need.

Carmen was known for her gentle spirit and merciful nature. She found joy in traveling, gardening, attending church, and cooking, sharing her love and passion for these hobbies with everyone around her. Her commitment to family, friends, and her community reflected her nurturing personality.

Carmen is survived by her daughter, Rosa Maria Rodriguez; her sons, Jorge A. Carlo, Adrian E. Carlo, Humberto I. Gonzalez, and Jose L. Gonzalez; her sister, Dora De La Rosa; and her brother, Atilano De La Rosa. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Israel “Tony” Gonzalez, sisters, Cecilia Rivera, Evangelina Carlo, Socorro Lopez, and her brother, Felipe Carlo.

Visitation will take place on November 26, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, located at 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, Texas, with a Rosary from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The following day, visitation resumes from 8:15 AM to 9:45 AM, also at Trevino Funeral Home. A Mass in her honor will take place at Our Heavenly Father church, 9178 Tomas Cortez Jr St, Olmito, Texas, at 10:00 AM on November 27, 2024. Carmen will then be laid to rest in a burial service at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, Texas, commencing at 11:00 AM.

As we bid farewell to Carmen C. Gonzalez, may she rest in eternal peace, forever remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit.

Carmen C. González falleció pacíficamente el 19 de noviembre de 2024 en Brownsville, Texas. Nacida el 2 de marzo de 1936 en Piedras Negras, Coahuila, México, Carmen vivió una vida caracterizada por el trabajo duro, la bondad y el desinterés, siempre dispuesta a ayudar a los necesitados.

Carmen era conocida por su espíritu gentil y su naturaleza misericordiosa. Encontró alegría en los viajes, la jardinería, la asistencia a la iglesia y la cocina, compartiendo su amor y pasión por estos pasatiempos con todos los que la rodeaban. Fue precedida en la muerte por su esposo, Israel "Tony" González, sus hermanas, Cecilia Rivera, Evangelina Carlo, Socorro López y su hermano, Felipe Carlo.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el 26 de noviembre de 2024, de 3:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m. en la Funeraria Treviño, ubicada en 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, Texas, con un rosario de 7:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. Al día siguiente, el velorio se reanuda de 8:15 a.m. a 9:45 a.m., también en la Funeraria Treviño. Una misa en su honor tendrá lugar en la iglesia Nuestro Padre Celestial, 9178 Tomas Cortez Jr St, Olmito, Texas, a las 10:00 a.m. el 27 de noviembre de 2024.
