Carl Anthony Vidos ,71 , of Brownsville, Texas passed away on Sunday May 8, 2011 at his residence after a courageous fight with cancer.
Mr. Vidos was a loving husband and father loved his family, hunting and fishing.
He worked as a shrimper after high school, first with his Dad, later on on his own boat he also worked for Oil Patch Fuel and Supply for a few years before retiring.
He was a friend to all who knew him, always willing to help anyone, always with a smile had a large heart and gentle touch, loved going to the shrimp basin to visit his friends to catch up on port gossip.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrtle Vidos brothers, Frederich, Melvin and John Vidos his infant daughter, Gremaine Vidos.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pamela Vidos one son, Carl Vidos Jr three daughters, Dawn Keith Conley Theresa Troy Whittemore, Mariah Richard Kuhns three brothers, James Vidos, Jerry Evelyn Vidos and Wayne Thelma Vidos six sisters. Rose Mae Broussard, Mary Ann Rene Prado, Betty Houghtaling, Lucy Wilkinson, Elizabeth Carl Joe Gayman and Faith Bobby Boynt eight grandchildren Mathew Williams, Gage Conley, Victoria Conley, Jake Whittemore, Joshua Whittemore, Abigail Rose Cherry, Michaela Kuhns and Michael Kuhns one great grandaughter, Layla Williams, numerous nieces and nephews and his 4 legged companion Molly.
A 4 p.m. Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday May 10, 2011 at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
