Benjamin Euresti,Sr., 81, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 .
Benjamin Euresti was a lifetime resident of Brownsville, Texas. He served in the U. S. Army from 1945 to 1947 when he received an honorable discharge. He remained a proud veteran all of his life. He married Isabel Trevino on August 2, 1948. He worked at Pan American Airlines in Brownsville during the 1950s and early 60s. He was the owner of Bens Glass and Metal from 1974 until 2001. He was an active lifelong member of Primera Iglesia Presbiteriana Mexicana and served as a Sunday school teacher, Deacon, and treasurer. His favorite hobbies were reading, fishing, hunting, watching the Dallas Cowboys and boxing on television. He especially loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all those fortunate to have known him.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Primera Iglesia Presbiteriana Mexicana, P.O. Box 3028, Brownsville, Texas 78520. Military Honors are under the direction of Commander Luis Lucio with the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2035 of Brownsville, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his father: Rev.Ventura Euresti, mother: Juanita G. Euresti, 3 brothers: Halecio Euresti, Raul Euresti and Samuel Euresti Sr.
Left behind to eternally treasure his memory, are his wife Isabel T. Euresti, 3 sons: Hon. Benjamin Euresti, Jr. Berlinda, Roland Kimberly Euresti, Daniel Claudia Euresti. 6 grandchildren: Vanessa Rodriguez, Marcus Euresti, Victoria Euresti, Vianne Euresti, Joseph Michael Euresti, Daniel Euresti Jr. 3 greatgrandchildren: Mariposa Alicia Rodriguez, Rowan Benjamin Rodriguez and Scarlett Isabella Euresti.
Pallbearers: Ernesto Gamez, Jr., Eduardo Gamez, Juan Magallanes, Ramiro Rodriguez, Joseph Michael Euresti, Daniel Euresti, Jr., Marcus Benjamin Euresti. Honorary Pallbearers: Ernesto Gamez Sr. , Eloy Roberto Rivera , Enrique Ybarra, Diodoro Ornelas.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7p.m. prayer service, Thursday April 26, 2012 at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2012 at Primera Iglesia Presbyteriana Mexicana. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
