Benigna Vasquez

Benigna "Nina" Vasquez, 90, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Nina was born to Guadalupe Gonzalez and Guillermo Alvarado in Mexico. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Raul Vazquez; her siblings Lorenzo Ochoa, Nicolas Ochoa, Guillermo Ochoa, Mercedes Ochoa, Lupita Ochoa.

Nina is survived by her loving children; Raul Vasquez (Juanina), Pedro Vasquez (+Guadalupe), Alberto Vazquez (Maria de los Angeles), Guillermina Medellin (Gabriel), Lupita Garcia (Julian), Marianela Peña (Victor), Georgina Marin (Hugo). Also, to treasure many memories are her seventeen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, one brother Eduardo Alvarado and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of Trevino Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018. Rite of committal will follow at Guillen Community Cemetery located at 9055 Boca Chica Blvd. in Brownsville, Texas.
