Baby Roel Martinez, Jr. one day old, passed peacefully on Friday, March 17, 2023.

Baby Roel is preceeded in death by his maternal grandmother; Luz Payan,

Paternal great-grandmother; Consuelo Martinez, paternal great-grandfather; Juan Martinez, uncle; Juan Luis Cano Martinez, and aunt; Glendalia Martinez.

He is survived by his loving parents; Roel Martinez, Sr. and Martha Maria Payan, siblings; Angel and Rondo Payan, maternal grandfather; Marcos Payan Leyva, paternal grandparents; Juan Ruben Martinez, and Irma Salas, uncles and aunts; Marcos Payan, Jr. (Jamie), Roxana Martinez (Cesario), Ruben Martinez, Jr. (Laura), Irma Esmeralda Benitez (Juan), Anna Sylvia Martinez, as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Public Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023, with a Rosary service at 1:30 p.m. in the North Chapel at Trevino Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, Tx.
