Aurora Rojas

Aurora Flores Rojas entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Her pride and joy was having all her family together for gatherings. She attended Good Shepherd Catholic Church regularly, helping in church events and ministering to the sick in the hospital. She prayed for her family on a daily basis and was an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to meet her. As a faithful servant, she always lent a helping hand to anyone in need. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Aurora Flores Rojas was born to Antonio Flores and Esperanza Rodriguez in Brownsville, Texas.

Aurora Flores Rojas was preceded in death by her loving husband Francisco Rojas Sr., her parents Antonio and Esperanza Flores, two sons Francisco Rojas Jr, Ruben Rojas, granddaughter Aurora “Yayi” Rojas, son-in-law Robert Joseph “Bobby” Atkinson, grandson Angel Richard Rojas, and great-great grandson Jayden Cash Rendon. She is survived by her children Antonio Rojas (wife Esther), Aurora “Gorie” Garza (husband George), Angela Rojas, Dalia Rojas-Carmichael (husband Ken), Eva Rojas-Atkinson (widow of Robert J. Atkinson), Robert Rojas (wife Debbie), Rogerio Rojas, Ricardo Rojas (wife Marlen), and Rolando Rojas. Also, to treasure many memories are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and other extended family members.

Visitation will be from 12pm to 9pm on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, with a Rosary at 7 pm in the North Chapel of Trevino Funeral Home at 1355 Old Port Isabel Road. Visitation will resume at 8:15 am to 9:30 am on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, Funeral Mass will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church at 10 am on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. Rite of committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
