Aurora Hernandez

Aurora G. Hernandez, 78, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Aurora was born to Thomas Garza and Bertha Reyes in Port Isabel, Texas. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings; Thomas Garza, Enrique Garza and Maggie Garza.

Aurora is survived by her loving husband Genaro Hernandez; her children; Joaquin Hernandez, America Hernandez, Celena Rios; her 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Also, to treasure many memories are her siblings; Gonzalo Garza, Juan Garza, Viola Garza, Flora Garza, Maruca Garcia and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the North Chapel at Trevino Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church located at 1200 E Lincoln St. in Brownsville, TX. Rite of committal will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Honored to serve as Aurora's pallbearers are; Christopher, Joey, Memito, John Austin, Romando and Chino.
