Arturo Hinojosa entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 22, 2021 at the age of ninety years old.
He was born to Abel Hinojosa and Julia P. Hinojosa in San Martin, Willacy. He was a lifetime resident of Brownsville, Texas and pursued his passion of automotive mechanics. He also enjoyed a good game of the slot machines in casinos. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
Arturo was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife Dominga C. Hinojosa and their three sons, Juan Antonio Hinojosa, Richard Oscar Hinojosa, Arturo Hinojosa Jr. and is survived by his loving children; Eric Hinojosa and his wife Ana, Abel Hinojosa, Julie Collier and her husband Chris, Diane Tamayo and her husband Valentine, Velva Jean Swanagan and her husband Robert. Also, to treasure many memories are his numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family members.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 4th, 2021 with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home. Visitation resumes from 8:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Friday, March 5th, 2021 with a Funeral Mass scheduled at 9 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church located at 2800 Rockwell Drive in Brownsville, TX 78521. Rite of committal will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Honored to serve as Arturo’s pallbearers are; Chris Collier, Eric Hinojosa, Mario Bejerano Jr., Abel Hinojosa, Farris Kennington and Robert Swanagan.
