Arturo Antonio Garza, 83, peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.
Arturo was born to Feliciano Garza and Paula Trevino in Brownsville, Texas. He served in the United States Air Force and is a veteran. He retired from Public Utilities Board (P.U.B.) where he worked over 34 years. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife Evila D. Garza, their daughter Irma D. Bergund; four brothers Feliciano Garza, Jose Garza, Jesus Garza and Juan Garza.
Arturo is survived by his loving children Sandra Perez (Indalecio) and John Garza; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren. Also, to treasure many memories are his siblings; Margarita Gracia, Luisa Garcia, Raul Garza, Lola Oplt and extended family members.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the North Chapel at Trevino Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at St. Luke Catholic Church. Rite of committal will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
