Armando Gonzalez

Armando Gonzalez, passed peacefully to his eternal life on Sunday, July 09, 2023, at the age of seventy-six years old.

Mr. Gonzalez was born November 13, 1946, in Brownsville, Texas to Hilario Gonzalez†, and Inez Infante†. 

Armando was known for his fondness of family gatherings, sewing, gardening, and for the deep love he had for family and friends.

He will be dearly missed by all the lives he touched by his humble soul and caring ways.  

Armando was preceded in death by his loving parents, Hilario Gonzalez, and Inez Infante, two sisters, Adela Moreno†, and Elena Ayala†.  

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Luisa Gonzalez, six children, Armando Gonzalez, Jr., Arnoldo Gonzalez, Arturo (DeeAnn) Gonzalez, Abel (Jennifer) Gonzalez, Diana (Rogelio) Garcia, and Inez Gonzalez, four siblings, Hilario Gonzalez, Jr., Hilberto Gonzalez, Lydia Partida, Delia Garcia,  fourteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.  

Visitation in his honor will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Visitation resumes Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 8:15 a.m.to 11:15 a.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday July 18, 2023, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 1055 Military Rd., Brownsville, Texas (956) 541-8341, burial to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park 5 McDavitt Blvd., Brownsville, Texas
