Armando A. Hill

Armando A. Hill, age 89, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones after a long battle with cancer. Despite the challenges he faced, he emerged as a hero and stayed strong until the end.

Armando was born on March 26, 1933, in Brownsville, Texas to Mr. Antonio Hill and Francisca Loya.

Armando was in the car sales business for a large portion of his life and won several awards as a Top Gun Salesman. He loved people and could carry a conversation with about anyone. He is also known for his fondness of family gatherings, hunting, BBQing, the beach, and for the love of his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Armando is preceded in death by his loving wife; Mary Hernandez-Hill,

his parents; Antonio and Francisca Hill, and his siblings; Martin Hill, Berta Hill-Perez, and Hortencia Hill-Ramirez.

He is survived by his four daughters; Linda Rivera (Robert Rivera), Rose Marques, Diana Hill-Duran (Eli Duran), and Amanda Flangas (Gary Flangas), eight grandchildren; Andrew Alaniz, Christopher Alaniz, Ashley Yates, Eric Marques, Justin Marques, Kenneth Hill, Lindsey Flangas, and Michael Flangas,  and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A Public visitation will be Thursday March 9, 2023  from 6 pm to 9 pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 pm at the North Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am at St. Luke Catholic Church on Friday March 10, 2023,  2800 Rockwell Drive in Brownsville, Texas.

Rite of committal will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, Texas.
