Angel Salvador Viloria II, age 69, passed away at Sunshine Haven Hospice on Tuesday, June 24th, following a courageous battle with cancer.BR BRHe was born June 22, 1939 in the Dominican Republic, to the late Mary Elizabeth Viloria and Angel Salvador Viloria, who popularized Merengue in the United States. He and his family moved to the United States when he was very young. Mr. Viloria served honorably in the U.S. Air Force for seven years as a radar technician, stationed in various countries including Germany and Morocco. BR BRMr. Viloria is survived by his three children, Angel S. Viloria III, Marie Louise Viloria, and Sarita Daniela Viloria; four granddaughters, one great-grandson; three sisters, Millie Viloria-Ratway, Vivian Maria Viloria-Fisher, Katherine M. Viloria, and one brother, Billy Viloria. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.BR BRFuneral services for Angel Salvador Viloria II will be held at Arlington National Cemetery with a military burial at 10 a.m. on August 21, 2008.
