Amador Gomez, Jr.

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Amador Gomez, Jr., born on April 11, 1942, died on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. He was seventy-five years old.

Amador liked to travel, especially to the State of California, and loved working on classic cars. He will be missed greatly.

His parents, Amador Gomez, Sr. and Maria Candelaria Gomez; brothers, Johnny Gomez and Jose Angel Gomez; and sister, Maria Cruz Caballero, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife, Maria Cruz Gomez; sons Salvador Gomez (Rachel), Juan Carlos Gomez (Christina), Amador Gomez III (Cyndi), Francisco J. Gomez, Rolando Gomez (Melissa); daughters Rosario Gomez (Lee), Maricruz Luna (Juan), and Patricia C. Gomez (Carlos); sisters Lucila Cantu Cavazos, and Yolanda Caballero, Josefa Reyes; seventeen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Visiting hours are on Friday, March 23, 2018, beginning at twelve o'clock in the afternoon and concluding at nine o'clock at night, with a recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o'clock Friday evening within the Trevino Funeral Home South Chapel.

Funeral services will commence on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at ten o'clock in the morning within the Trevino Funeral Home South Chapel. Committal services will then follow at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
