Alfredo Valdez, born on March 29, 1976, in Houston, Texas, passed away April 22, 2025, in the same city. He was a man known for his bluntness and dry sense of humor, as well as his characteristic sarcasm.
Alfredo had a passion for collecting Marvel and DC comics, with a particular fondness for the character Green Goblin. His love for gaming was evident through his collection of older gaming consoles, which he cherished and often shared with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving mother, Rebeca Valdez, and his son, Daniel Valdez and Guadalupe. Alfredo will also be remembered fondly by his grandma: Epifania A La Torre, and siblings: Alisia Valdez, Jesus Valdez Jr., and Alexander (Christina) Reyes. He was a cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews: Shade, Storm, Jade, Jonathan, Jose, Sebastian, Leslie, and great niece: Aleida, who will carry forward his legacy of humor and passion.
Alfredo is preceded in death by his father, Jesus Valdez, as well as his brother, Angel Valdez, and sister, Alexandra Reyes. Their memories will forever live on.
His visitation services will take place at Trevino Funeral Home-Old Port Isabel Rd. in Brownsville, Texas, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary scheduled for 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 8:15 AM until 11:30 AM, followed by a Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church starting at 12:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at Buena Vista Burial Park at 1:00 PM, concluding a life full of moments, laughter, and love.
