Alberta Livsey, 78, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, TX. Alberta was born on November 16, 1937 in Emelle, Alabama to her parents James Steele and Ovetta Junious Steele. She attended Roosevelt High School and Sinclair Community College. Alberta had many talents. She was a tax preparer, and owner of her own brokerage. She was a loving wife, caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Ever since her baptism as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in the early 1960's, Alberta found great joy in teaching others the Bible. She served as a full time minister for over 22 years. Her infectious smile and upbeat attitude reached the hearts of all who knew her, and will never be forgotten by her God, Jehovah. She also enjoyed traveling and being with her family and friends. Alberta was known for her listening ear, storytelling, and wise counsel.
She is survived by her husband L.C. Livsey; children Roberta Livsey-Herd, Brian Livsey, Denise Annette McAfee, Lynn David Livsey, and Susan Marie Robinson; grandchildren Jerome, Gabriel, Chad, Tyneah, Ty, Shayleen, Marissa, Cameron, Connor, Terri, Tammy, Trevan, Tony, Tenicka, Tia, Rell, Cordell, and her many great grandchildren.
