Adela Hernandez Cruz

Adela Hernandez Cruz passed peacefully to her eternal rest on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, surrounded by her family at her residence in Mercedes, Tx., at the age of ninety-two years old.  

Adela Hernandez Cruz was born December 31, 1931, in Iowa Park, Texas, to her loving parents, Eugenio Hernandez and Apolonia Garcia.  

Adela Hernandez Cruz is preceded in death by her three beloved children: Juan Miguel Cruz, Maria Guadalupe Cantu and Epi Cruz.

Adela was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

She will be profoundly remembered for the happiness and love she spread to others and leaves behind great memories with family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Leonor Cantu, George Cruz and Robert Cruz. She also leaves behind twenty grandchildren as well as great grandchildren, extended family, and friends.  

Public visitation in her honor will take place at Treviño Funeral Home-Old Port Isabel Rd. of Brownsville, Texas on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the North Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 5 p.m. Services will conclude after 10:00 p.m. with cremation to follow.
