Abel Barrientos

Abel Barrientos entered his eternal rest on January 26, 2024, at the age of fifty-five years old.

 He was born on September 04, 1968, in Brownsville, TX. to his parents, Guadalupe Barrientos† and Lidia Barrientos. 

He will be remembered for his loving soul and the enormous love he held for his family. 

Abel will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. 

Abel is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Enriqueta Aranda Serna, his two children, Abel Barrientos, Jr., and Jaqueline Cepeda, siblings, Antonia (Joe) Alviar, Marina (Ricardo Reyes) Barrientos, Edna Vasquez, as well as extended family and friends. 

Public visitation in his honor will take place on Thursday, February 01, 2024, at Treviño Funeral Home-Old Port Isabel Rd.,1355 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, Texas, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Visitation resumes Friday, 02, 2024, from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.  with rite of committal to follow at Guillen Community Cemetery, 9055 Boca Chica Blvd., Brownsville, Texas at 10:00 a.m.
